Yeah my knee is ok at the moment
Not fully fit as still need to go under the knife in a few more months, but getting by!
Yes I will try and stay away from the water sports but you know when you have a had a few beers and the sun is shining the confidence kicks in and all heel can break loose!

Cool comp, and a fab idea!
I have done so many videos lately it’s unreal, I even dream about recording them now, but cant complain cos I love making them.
Powerpoint is by far my fav way at the moment, but I tend to do a bit of both… slides and tutorial types.
Your video about email automation took me back to my old ebay days before I used MyDD or SmartDD I can’t remember, funny how videos just seem to attract traffic as if by “magic” lol.
I will of course try my best to do a video and join in DA FUN!

I don’t have Powerpoint on my PC
but will try and get started using Open Office, where there’s a will there’s a way… fingers crossed 
It’s funny you say about before MyDD Sally. I used to use Outlook Express for all my deliveries but with the PC checking for emails every 5 minutes it slowed the PC down and took a large chunk out of my productive time which was why I bought MyDD, but the PC never picked up speed again
so a new one it was 
I also find it strange that the auto reply video is my most popular. I’ll have to create one for gmail now that i’m using it

Great Challenge….
I have no experience with video creation but that does not mean I don’t want to learn. After watching and learning from so many video’s I would love to give it a go. I have downloaded the CamStudio Software some time ago but that is about all that I have done. Now this is a very embarrassing ‘blonde moment’ or should that be ‘grey moment’ but what equipment do I need e.g. webcam, headphones etc. I had a quick look on Ebay but that left me completely confused with LED, Pixel, Mega etc.
I would love to give the challenge a go but with not know what equipment, not knowing how to use it, I think I might have to pass up on this challenge. I look forward to viewing everyone else’s videos and leaving comments etc.
Hopefully you will repeat this challenge again in the future and I will have recovered from my ‘moments’.

ha ha Blonde moment. Not at all Robyn, we never know what we need until it’s explained my friend. I was exactly the same and I am blonde, which is part of the reason I cut it so short
I use a Logitech headset Robyn. I bought one set from eBay for about £30 but then had to buy a new set which I got from the local supermarket for £17.99. If you have a microphone with your PC give it a try, if not visit your local store and grab a USB headset with Mic, Logitech is a good make but there are many others as well.
Once you have the headset (or Mic) plug it in before opening your screen capture software and you should be good to go Robyn. If you have any problems email me and I’ll do what i can to help
Please, please, please give it a go Robyn. Once you get the first one out of the way you’ll see other things you could create videos for.

Well, you’ve quite the challenge going, for me anyway. I am not an amateur, I am a complete ‘have no ideaer’, (I’ve not even got a youtube account. The only thing I’ve ever had to do with on screen videos is watch them. And must say, have learnt plenty from them.
Monday ah, you really are keen to keep us on our toes. I’m going to have to lift the console ban set for this weekend and do some learning! But, you did ask so nicely, I’ll give it a go. The next thing, What can I show people .. ‘how to …’? Cold beer time

Julie you’re exactly the type of person I want to take part in this challenge. Having never done this before this really is your big nudge to get started and once you’ve got the first one done you’ll start making them all the more.
There’s a link in the post to a previous post that will show you how to get started with CamStudio. I would give it a quick try with your built in mic’ and if it works then plan your video. If the mic doesn’t work then grab a USB headset, but try your mic first Julie.
Make it around something you do day in day out and you’ll be more confident. If you get tongue tied make some bullet points for the items to be covered and it’ll help keep you on track.
If you get stuck at all Julie give me a shout and I’ll do what i can to help.
After telling everyone online how I fear my wife, and then telling the wife I said it, my ears are constantly burning. Especially when the wife has friends round

Great idea. It’s a big challenge for me to create a tutorial video. I’m not sure I can do it in within the time that you allow. My time is almost all taken with other pressing things.
Instead of a screen shot video I may do a live video using a camera. I hope that would be considered a valid contribution. Instead of lecturing I may attempt do create something entertaining.

Since the wee hours of yesterday and today I have been unable to upload a new video to YouTube.
This has happened before and I think that they are doing some work and no new videos are being temporarily accepted. The upload goes to the end but then there is no response from YouTube and the video is not there.
If anybody has uploaded new videos within the last 12 hours (It’s 5:00 p.m. Pacific time, Sunday, August 21, 2011) Please let me know in comments here or on my blog. I’ve tried 5 times and wasted a lot of time.
Aside from this temporary problem I think that YouTube and videos in general are wort working with.

Barry! as you know I was late at finding out about your challenge, but when I seen it a few days ago, I said right, I know my way around camtasia a bit, lol…and after reading these comments…I knew some people would benefit form being shown a few ways to use the tools from within side it.

I have never done this type of videos, Barry. I only use screenshots. It is my passion to great step-by-step tutorials using screenshots. But I am really interested in a different type of videos. I just want to know how to create them. I have seen one on Dee Ann blog on this link:

Dee Ann uses Camtasia to create her videos. Its a great tool to have in the tool box but it’s exspensive, mind you, you do get what you pay for
There’s a link to a video in the post that shows you how to use some free software from Camstudio.

I finally just sat down and upload my video to YouTube and got it posted on my blog.

I’m done a few hours later due to the video upload problems but I figured out how to do it another way.
I hope that you’ll still enter me into the contest. It’s up to you. Ether way it helped me to do more than I’d have done were it not for your challenge.
I have posted 3 videos so at least one should be to most people’s liking. They are 1) about Android, 2) about iPhone 5, 3) about beer.

Yes Sally has a great video section. Just look at my latest video for confirmation of that. I was only able to create it due to Sally and Eamons lessons on camtasia.
