Hey Barry,
Hope you are well
Yeh, eBay are also transforming their policies etc… but I have a theory that they are evoling into a platform that will only cater to strong businesses that will survive the changes so that it strenghens eBays profits and growth as a middleman and at the same time weedles out the small sellers that are not a consistant means of high profits!

Hi Ed, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
I have to agree Ed, eBay have been changing their focus for some time now and the policy changes to suit. There are many examples of this and their latest PPC advertising is just one of them.
It reinforces that age old saying Don’t put all your eggs in one basket
Catch up soon Ed, always a pleasure. I’m off to watch the England Game now, 2-0 win pretty please

Hi Terry, good to see you back again.
eBay is always changing its policies over something and yes it is important to keep up with the changes. I’ll let you know of further changes as and when they’re announced Terry.
Hope all is well with you and that your new product is coming along well.
Catch up soon my friend, Barry
I think ebay is making retrograde steps. I always liked the idea that both sides could leave useful feedback. Sometimes I have had a lousy experience as a seller and wish to express this to the community. I think ebay has become way too corporate and that is a pity.
Hi David, welcome to my blog.
Yes I feel you have a valid point. eBay are forever changing things to become more PC. The more changes they make the more customers they seem to lose.
Barry
Time was when ebay could be a great little earner for people who were out of work or stuck at home with children, now its all becoming too complex and the tax authorities are doing a big crackdown on ebay traders this year – a mate of mine got hit badly on tax and vat
Hi David,
I agree David. eBay still offers some great results if your goods are sought after and have a good profit, but the truth is that so many people are treying now that the prices the items sell for is heavily reduced.
I’m aware of the crackdown, apparently the tax man needs to top up for the politicians next round of expences
Thanks David,
Barry
