How To Make Money At The Blog Carnival

Blog Carnivals are very useful for driving traffic to the participant’s blogs and providing a very good chance of increasing sales and subscriptions if the information found there is current and of real value. Any blogger can create and run a Blog Carnival with a little bit of planning and some focused work.
The major need for good sales of any product online is traffic…the more the better! That’s pretty obvious, even if you are a relative newcomer to online marketing. The difficult aspect of attracting traffic is to get interested buyers to your blog and keeping them. There’s several time-honored ways to get that traffic, but many, if not most of them, are time-consuming and often not productive enough to give you a good income.
That’s where a Blog Carnival can become a lucrative tool to flood your blog with potential buyers. The best aspect of spending the time to create a Blog Carnival is that it is free to create and publish. You don’t need anything except your own blog and a little time, if you are going to host your own Carnival. Posting articles on other blogs is also cost-free.
Let’s get down to the ways you can make money at Blog Carnivals, starting with a brief explanation of what a Blog Carnival is. As a submitter to other carnivals, all you have to do is send a brief description of your blog post and a link to it. You can find them with a focused search on Google. You are looking for Blog Carnivals for your specific niches. Submitting your links to unrelated niches is considered spamming.
If you want to host your own Blog Carnival, get a little experience by posting on existing carnivals for a while. Hosting on your blog will require some expertise and assistance from experienced carnival hosts. But, if you have built a reputation with your own quality posts on other carnivals, you should already have traffic and other bloggers willing to help you with your own carnival.
Since increased traffic is your marketing goal, you can post your link in several Blog Carnivals as often as you want to. Once a week is a good practice. If you are working in several niches, find carnivals for those niches and repeat your submission activities with pertinent posts from your separate blogs. The important thing is to keep your posts current, original and of high quality.
One necessary action to complete before you post your link on other Blog Carnivals is gathering products to sell to your new visitors. If you cannot write your own ebooks or create valuable software, find high-quality affiliate products or services to offer the bloggers following your links from other carnivals.
In order to make money with any manner of promotion, you have to have something for your new visitors to buy. Think about it. Driving traffic to your blog with no products to buy when the visitors get there will not create income for you.
Of course, having products to sell requires a PayPal button, a squeeze page to gather email addresses for your marketing use and an autoresponder account.
Participating often in Blog Carnivals can drive hundreds, or even thousands, of other bloggers to your blog rather quickly. That’s the real purpose and major benefit of these carnivals. Another valuable benefit comes when you are recognized as a true member of a blogging community, which can build your reputation as a trusted blogger.
The benefits are all right there, waiting for you to use the Blog Carnival to promote your business. Just don’t eat too much cotton candy.

Hi Barry, thanks so much for showcasing this second post. I hope that together these two posts will help everyone to see what a great opportunity blog carnivals are. We are writing a post anyway so why not target a topic and submit to the carnival for extra traffic?
Great idea about the video. I just bought a plugin that does much the same thing but I have had difficulty with it on one site I run so will try your method.
Enjoy the journey.
Mandy
Hi Mandy, I totally agree that as we’re writing posts for our blogs anyway we have nothing to lose and everything to gain from the carnivals, like I said its a win win for serious bloggers.
Mandy in the video I show how to add a plain button, but if you want to use a custom graphic payment button let me know and I’ll make another video for the task.
Speak soon,
Barry
Hi Mandy and Barry:
Mandy blog carnival seems to be a great tool. I am attracted to discover it. But I am so busy doing every thing that I can not take another new avenue to work with. I want to excel in what I am doing and then I will take another one. Can we have it any time of the year. If so, I might try it later. It sure is a great idea and that is why everyone uses it. It is good for traffic and it is good for conversion. Once I will think about it I will talk to you first.
Thanks for an informative post.
Make it great for yourself

Hi Fran, thanks for visiting. You can participate in any blog carnival you wish, just find one in your niche through a google search and enter a blog post you have written. If you are not actually running the carnival there is no extra work involved for you, apart from finding the carnival you wish to join.
Go to http://blogcarnival.com and find one in your niche, or that fits a topic you have written something about. It really is that easy. And you can participate at any time, and once or more than once. Do feel free to email me for help at any time, via this

Hi Barry and Mandy
First of all thank you both for two great posts full of tantalising information, I do agree with you both as we are writing posts for our blogs anyway it would make sense to target a topic and submit it to the Carnivals.
The second post really explained the nuts and bolts in more detail to me which has given me a better understanding of how it all works!
I definitely want to be involved … just have to set about getting some products ready which I am working on!
Thanks for sharing this information I think it’s a great opportunity.
Catch up soon Barry

Hi Ian, thanks for visiting. It is one of the great things about Carnivals, you can submit something you have already written, but they are also a good source of ideas for topics too.
Enjoy the journey.
Mandy
Hello Barry and Mandy,
More good stuff from you again Mandy and I agree, blog Carnivals can set the wheels in motion for any blog, as I mentioned in your last post, I covered submitting your best posts to blog Carnivals in my last product showing how to do this.
Anyone lucky enough to be reading this post could learn a lot from Mandy on this.
I wish I had more time to get back to blog Carnivals myself, but I’m knee deep into facebook this couple of months Mandy and Barry and I see a hugh potential there. I will be doing videos shortly on this gaint and the endless possibilities it holds for business on and off-line.
Great post Mandy all the best,
Eamon.

Hi Mandy & Barry,
I have heard about these blog carnival’s before but never really used them. Also I have seen blog carnival submitters, pretty similar to article submitters.
Have you used any Mandy to boost your content submitting?
Cheers
Craig

Hi Craig, I haven’t used submitters. I am currently running my first blog carnival which will be published on May 1st. I have looked at blogcarnival.com and there are a ton of different carnivals you can get involved in. I will submit to some of them eventually.
Enjoy the journey.
Mandy
This is extremely helpful. I’ve already heard a lot about blog carnivals but didn’t completely understand it. I didn’t know that you can make money from it. I appreciate you for making an effort to discuss it. Now, it will not be difficult for me to participate in on one.
